Community & Safety Guidelines

Last updated 12 September 2026

Real-world connection is Dayt’s purpose. Trust, safety and accountability are conditions of participation.

Respect consent and boundaries

Respect every person’s decisions, physical boundaries and right to leave. Consent must be voluntary, informed, specific and ongoing. Pressure, coercion, harassment, threats, stalking and sexual misconduct are not tolerated.

Show up honestly

Use an authentic profile, represent plans and events accurately, and do not mislead people about your identity, intentions, venue, price or affiliation. Public event organisers must complete Dayt’s required identity-verification process before publishing.

Meet with care

For a first meeting, choose a public place, arrange your own transport, tell someone you trust where you are going, keep your phone available, and leave if anything feels wrong. If you are unsure, do not go alone. In immediate danger in Australia, call 000.

Protect privacy

Do not share another person’s private details, images, messages or location without permission. Never ask for passwords or one-time codes.

Report and block

Use the in-app Report action to alert Dayt to a profile, message, event, community or other content. Use Block to stop meaningful interaction with another member. Reports are reviewed privately; Dayt may retain necessary evidence and take proportionate action.
